Fluid Pages in SharePoint 2007

Asked By: Madeline    Date: May 15    Category: MOSS    Views: 567

How do I make a SharePoint site fluid so that it fits the browser
resolution of the user?

I built a home page using a combination of Content Editor Web Parts
primarily and Global announcements Web parts which will be audience-
based. Visually the page looks split into two like a two even-
columned page with Web parts on either side. I would like the right
side with all content editor Web parts to be narrow than the left
side of the page. I tried a few ways to fix this.

1. Made the right content editor Web parts constrain to a certain
percentage or pixel by specifying the width. I made everything 250
pixels wide. Although it looks great on my screen, when tested on
other monitors showed wrong text wrapping, bad sentence breaks etc.
even though I did not force any sentence breaks.
