Fixing the webpart zones/heights to be even on pagelayout

Can someone please help? I need all my web parts to have a fixed height no
matter what content or web part is added to the page. Can someone advise how !
do this please.

Are you doing this from the browser? If so, it's pretty easy to go in and
tell each web part to have a fixed height (under Appearance in the modify
web part panel).

If you want to limit them all when they are created you could add some jQuery
that selects all of the webparts and forces their height.

Something like:

$(“td[id*=’MSOZoneCell_WebPartWPQ’]“).css(‘height’, ‘150px’);

I was wondering if you could help me with itemstyle. I am a newbie so please. I
need a gridview of news (3 columns), and when an article is clicked on the
content is displayed below on the page.

Any ideas and help please?

If I had to guess I would say that you need to connect webparts. Your list view
would be the top webpart and your single item view would be on the bottom.
