finding the site usage from share point database

Asked By: Daniel Mclean         Date: Jan 21, 2010      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 192

I want to find the usage statistics for sites in share point by querying the database tables.
Is there any possibility to get this kind of data.

Actually there are plenty of sites created in the production which is consuming lot of disk space. so planning to delete\archive the sites that are not accessed in last 3 months. As i am a DBA i am trying to do this from database end.

You shouldn't.

Use the SharePoint Usage analysis or process the IIS log files.
