How can I find documents are checked out by a user?

How can I find documents are checked out by a user?

I can do it with shallow traversal but when I change it to deep traversal I get
an error "column does not exist".

have a look at the doc_status-Webpart which can be found in the SharePoint
Resource-Kit at

for microsoft sharpoint portal server 2003 we used SqlServer 2000 as
a database to store all your content,document,files etc.Can I used
Oracle 9i instead of Sql2000.

No - SQL Server 2000 and the SQL Server Desktop Engine are your only options.
