Financial software

Asked By: Haresh    Date: Oct 24    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 950

I want an accounting system or ERP that interfaces/runs directly with
SQL and sharepoint and is geared around reporting via extranet. Does
such a thing exist yet?

My vision is not Great Plains with its huge overhead and programming
challenges. I am thinking more of a program that hasn't been invented
yet. I.E. "Microsoft Cash Register"....A simple transactional program
that interfaces with Microsoft office and can report or tie in directly
with Sharepoint. $200.00 or so per copy like Outlook or any other office
component.

Right now I use quickbooks pro 2004 5-user, but it is a nightmare to try
and interface the report data to sharepoint and keep it "live" even with
simple excel and or access wizards etc......
Anyone know if such a software exists in any way?

There is no such software  that directly  interfaces with Sharepoint
except maybe SAP

However any accounting/ERP software that has a web interface has the
potential for integration into Sharepoint

Go ahead and invent one for me and let me know when it's done...You can
call it Microsoft Cash Register and make it a part of office....(what
good is an office  if it can't sell anything)? I'll pay 200 bucks per
copy per machine.
I don't need all the dumb bells and whistles,.. Just cash sale, invoice,
recieve payment and customer. plus maybe customer contact and a couple
of reports like cash sale detail and month, quarter and year to date..
Boom done, instant bazillionaire.
