Filter formula in a doc lib. view

Does any one know what should be the filter formula to create a view on
doc. lib that shows you documents created in the last 10 days

Following is what I tried but did not work (didn't display even one
document eventhough there were many).

Under Edit Views -> Filter ->
[x] Show items only when the following is true

Show the item when column :
Created
is greater than or equal to
[Today]-10

What has worked for me is:

1. create an additional column with a calculated formula of
=Created+10, I also choose to format for the returned value of this
formula as date only.
2. Then in the view create a filter, choose the newly created
column, 'greater than or equal to' and [Today].

I tried to create an additional column with a calculated formula of
=Created+10 (Also tried =[Created]=10) and received this error
message: One or more column references are not allowed, because the
columns are defined as a data type that is not supported in formulas.

Any suggestions?

I believe System fields are not allowed in formula. I.e. you can only use columns that are available in the list.
