Filter by Date

Wondering if anyone has a solution to the list view of a event list to be
able to "filter by date". When selecting the drop down of the start date it
states something to the effect of this column cannot be filtered.

Any work arounds or clever solutions would be greatly appreciated.

You can use a create a calculated field based on the Start Date
column and then use the calculated field in your filter.
