Fields in alerts message text

Is it possible to remove fields in message text from an alert
notitification?

I have two fields in a custom list that operates as work fields in the
list. They are never displayed in any views. Problem is that they are
displayed in the message text when a user gets notification of change.

You will need to create some XML explicitly for your list. This is covered in my
