Extremely confused

  Asked By: Payal    Date: Mar 20    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 921

I am trying to do what would seem a simple date formatting in XSL
using vbscript. I have some XSL code that outputs a date like this
11/28/2002 12:00:00 AM but I want to get it to look like this:
Thursday, November 28, 2002.

The thing that has completely thrown me off is that I found many
examples of how to use vbscript functions in XSL but none are doing
exactly what I'm trying to do, so I keep getting: cannot parse XSL,
invalid arguments or properties. I believe me syntax is wrong.

First of all, some examples used <xsl:script>, some used
<msxsl:script> and some used the <xsl:eval language=vbscript....> to
do it. I don't know which to use, I've tried all of them and none
worked for me. I also do not know how to get the node to reference a
function. This is the code that outputs the date that I am trying to
format:

<xsl:value-of select="dav:propstat/dav:prop/office:StartDate"/>

Can anyone please show me how to do this, who knows this stuff better
than me? Shouldn't be to hard to find that person.
