I am stomped. I have been tasked at designing our SharePoint Extranet. We are using both SPS and WSS. Since this is a closed system, there will not be any open free for all team sites so when a user comes to the site they will only be able to get to the team sites that they are a member of. We are creating a web part that gives them listing of the sites that they are a member of so that it will help them navigate the Extranet better.

My question is what type of information should I be presenting on the front page. I have been thinking of the following:

- web part for team site listing
- password expiration reminder web part
- targeted news web part -
- SharePoint related training

I would also like a web part that says WELCOME AMA. How do I do this?

What other information could I provide on the web site? Does anyone have any examples I can look at?
