“extra” virtual server appear after installing service pack 2 for SPS

Has anyone had an “extra” virtual server appear after installing service pack 2 for SPS and WSS called ‘Network restore’ ? The only thing anyone in our test lab has done between the non-existence of the vs and its mysterious appearance is apply SP2.

never seen that and i manage about 3 portals on different boxes/domains.. very wierd!

I've never seen this. Did you call PSS? What did you determine was the
problem?

I should have reposted to this issue; we had a rogue Sys Admin that decided to help himself to our dev box and do some testing with restore methods for our internal disaster recovery procedures. We have a process for catching these things, but that got missed in this case.
