External users and https

Asked By: Chaim Odom         Date: May 24, 2006      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 199

I have been using Sharepoint 2003 SPS and WSS for 6 months now and I've
implemented a server farm with two front ends; one internal and one
external.

Here's the question:
I have some external users who can only log on when they use https. But
when they move around the portal they get access denied when I can see
that they do have access to the page. If I have them put another s in
the address the page comes up. Most of my external users don't have to
user https and therefore no problems with page access.

For those getting in using https, why doesn't every page serve up as
https? How can I get it to do it?

Are the links they are clicking on generated by WSS or are they hard
coded by users?
