Exporting infopath to an XML file

Date: Sep 03    Category: Sharepoint 2010    Views: 7129

This should be easy but I can't find a way to do it.

My users fill out an infopath form that once compleate I need to export it to an
XML format that can be parsed and put into another system. Being that Infopath
is just an XML document there must be a way to do an export to create an XMLfile
with the fields and data making up the tags and information.

I can't seem to find a way to do this, has anyone else? Any suggestions would be
helpful.

When you save a completed Infopath form it will save as an XML file.
However, it does save without the schema. If you rename the .XSN form file
to .CAB you can extract the .XSD file that is the Schema declaration. That
along with the regular XML should be all you need to import the results into
a separate system.
