Explorer View got Deleted from Document Library

Asked By: Holly    Date: Jan 21    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 3602

Hopefully someone out there can help me with this issue. The previous
administrator of this Sharepoint site deleted the Explorer views from
all of the document libraries in the site, and I need them back. Of
course this fellow is no longer with the company.

Does anyone know how to add an Explorer view back into a document

You should be able to add  a view  called “Explorer View” and point it to WebFldr.aspx. That is unless that aspx file has been deleted  as well.

Unfortunately, the WebFldr.aspx file has been completely deleted  via
frontpage. I have tried taking an webfldr.aslp file from another
documnet library  and adding it to this document  library's forms
folder, but that did not work either.

Apparently it is possible to copy from one to another, copying the GUID to the page that you're copying into your document  library.

You might try the solution here (google for webfldr.aspx)

But these instructions don't quite do it. I
think they are close, but it looks like there might be a step or two
missing. I will simply map a drive and go that direction.
