Asked By: Jasmin    Date: Oct 19    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1607

I am using my inbox webpart ( I have exchange 2003 server ) in my
sharepoint server 2003. In that it is asking for mail server and
mailbox. I want to be mailbox of persons who logges in SPS portal.
How I can do this? i.e Inbox webpart should pickup login user name
from windows login session.. how I can do this?

Mail server address (http://): http://Testmail/exchange
mailbox : sudarshan (which string I should put in mailbox so it will
pick up from windows login session)
when I put my mail box name it works, but what will happen to other
users. how they will get it.

I have not used this web  part yet, but each individual user should have
to config it for their use. So if you config it for you , it will not
affect other users

In sharepoint server 2003, you will get inbox  from server so all
users will get inbox from server and if I configured for me then how
others will get there mails.. so there might be different string that
can put into mailbox parameter of inbox web  part so it will pickup
logged in user from domain.
have u understand my problem.

I understand the problem  and am also looking for a solution. I would
like to be able to put the Webmail webpart  on the main page that
everyone logs into and use their login credentials as authentication to
the Webmail server. However, it requires a username and password on the
web part  setup screen....

You need to put the "My inbox" web  part in my site and force it to the
users. If you choose to put it on the portal, then you should make sure
that the web part  zone is personalized. You should be good after doing

But it still asks me to put in the mailbox name per user. Is there a
script that automatically does this?
