We've just discovered that once we adjust our configs to support
anonymous access, the ability to import an Excel spreadsheet as the
start of a new list goes away!
A search through the Microsoft site reveals a support document that
basically says, "Yep, that's life". It goes on to say that to rectify
the situation, turn off anonymous access.

Has anyone else encountered and subsequently successfully overcome this
hurdle?
