Examples of wiki pages

Asked By: Ariel    Date: Jun 22    Category: MOSS    Views: 6703

We're just starting the MOSS deployment in our company and someone
asked me what wiki pages could be used for. I didn't really have a good
answer. Does anyone have examples or links to examples of wiki pages in
SharePoint?

Wiki pages  can be thought of as an organic knowledge repository. It is
meant to allow anyone and everyone to add & edit content. There can be
many uses for this type of item (collaboration, flexible documentation,
etc). A well known wiki  example is Wikipedia
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki).

We have a Sharepoint wiki  at http://www.mossasaurus.com/ We use it
as a place where people can define SharePoint terminology.

Off topic, but I had to comment on your dinosaur mascot. It almost makes
sharepoint feel approachable.
