Try this to get a more detailed error:
1.) Open up your sites web.config, and make the standard custom errors
edit. You want it to be < customerrors mode="Off"/>
2.) iisreset /noforce

I'm not seeing the error  during a browsing session. The error is merely
intermittently appearing in the error log on our production server.

I assume you are suggesting that changing customerrors will give the web browser
more details than I posted. If so, I don't think we'll find the user that
encountered the error, be guaranteed the error will show up to a user, or
provide more detail than I posted. We can't make the change on a production
server anyway.

Anything else we should look at?
