Error in Web Service

I have a Web Service with a web method that fetches the Employee Information
from Active Directory and returns the Employee Info as Employee object. The web
service is working fine in fetching the results, but, it is throwing the
following error when returning the employee object.

The error message:

"There is an error in XML Document(1,302)".

Can you provide more details about this web  service?
Is it a 3rd party application, created in VS or SPD?
