Error in share point main page

Iam getting the following error while trying to launch my main page
http://sharepoint/default.aspx

http://sharepoint/_layouts/1033/error.aspx?ErrorText=Thread+was+being+aborted.
Error
Thread was being aborted.
Troubleshoot issues with Windows SharePoint Services.
