"error in restoring...." error num - C7FF0BB9, DESC - Automation error

whenevr i restore i get this error message... "error in restoring...."
error num - C7FF0BB9, DESC - Automation error... Source MSDMBACK

can u help me with this error? what do i need to do to successfully restore my
server..? btw, i use sps1...

First, make sure all the services are running, any one service not
running will cause an automation  error. Next make sure that you always
restore to the same server version (sps 1 in this case) with the same
service packs installed. Those are the most common errors.

I suggest that properly uninstall Sharepoint, and then
manually delele all related files & registry. Please
refer to microsoft support at:

support.microsoft.com/default.aspx
