Okay, with your two posts I'm not certain I understand...You have an RSS feed of
SharePoint data that includes a URL and you are having trouble feeding it to an
external source?

I am sorry for not being clear. I have a RSS feed that is called
www.abc.edu/rss.php(just an example)However, when I include it in the web part,
I receive the following message above. However, I have been told that the log
files are fine but do not know where to proceed from here. I am not sure what is
causing it. Could it be that it is coming from an external source?

Is there any chance the RSS feed comes from a source requiring authentication?
In general the specifications for RSS feeds call for them to be anonymous, but
some require authentication (like the ones in SharePoint). The SharePoint rss
web part viewer does not support authenticated feeds. That might be the
problem.

Another possibility is that the SharePoint server does not have the necessary
Internet access to get to the RSS feed.

For example, computers on a corporate network typically need to be configured to
use a proxy server to get to the Internet. In this case, you will need to edit
web.config on your SharePoint server to use the proxy server so it can get to
the Internet.
