Error fetching URL, (80042403 - Failed to load document into IFilter

I have one document in my company's document library which justs
refuses to be indexed by sharepoint. The document in question is a
quite complex excel spreadsheet, lots of formulas and
macros..unfortauntly for me, it's also the most important document in
the library and people are beginning to wonder why it's not showing
up in searches..can anyone help me figure out why it's not indexing?

When I run a full index on the site, I get the following error:

Error fetching URL, (80042403 - Failed to load document into IFilter.
Possibly caused by bad document or bad IFilter. )

Any advice please?

Two possibilities:
1) the document is not getting loaded due to limit on size - see Central
Administration, Configure virtual server settings, virtual server
management-virtual general settings-maximum upload size.

2) the document is not indexing base on properties being disabled - see
Manage Properties of Indexed Content.

Thanks for the suggestions, should I have mentioned I'm using SP 1.1?
I can't find any of the options you mentioned (are they v2.0?)
