Error Adding Web Parts

Asked By: Keaton    Date: Oct 01    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 747

I am creating a couple of sites and am having a problem.

After working with a sub site for a little bit, it stops letting add
web parts and gives me this error.

An unexpected error has occurred.

Web Parts Maintenance Page: If you have permission, you can use this
page to temporarily disable Web Parts or remove personal settings. For
more information, contact your site administrator.

Troubleshoot issues with Windows SharePoint Services.

Does anyone know what would cause this? There are no other people on
the site right now, user or otherwise.

What kind of web  part are you adding? That error  usually means the web part causes an exception that has not been caught.

Just trying to add a default web  part. It works if I create another
site and add, just not on this particular site.

Also, I can add the part through Front Page, just not through the
browser.

Content Editor Web Part for example. I get the error  when I try to
add through the browser. I can, however, add any of the "Online
Gallery".
