Error with adding web parts

I have been getting an error trying to redirect me to the webparts
maintenance page when I try and add web parts to any web site, portal,
wss...etc.

I have tried doing this under various permissions, and even remote
desktop directly to the server.

Any suggestions and why this is failing?

i think there is an exception generated by ur webpart so u have to do is

in the web.config file locathe the this tag

<safemode MaxControls="50" CallStack="false" />

and replace it with

<safemode MaxControls="50" CallStack="false" />

than add the webpart and run and check the exception

did you try to add this web part from the server(as local admin), does this web
part requires additional settings
