Error when adding a content database

Asked By: Stacey Bryant         Date: Dec 06, 2006      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 208

I have copied all of the SQL databases from our production environment, and moved them to a development environment. But when I try to add a content database via central admin, I receive the following error “The database schema is too old to perform this operation in this SharePoint cluster. Please upgrade the database and try again.” Any ideas how to correct this error? Both environments are set up the same, with the identical WSS versions and service packs. Also should I run the SPUtil on the production environment, and then restore the data prior to reconnecting the databases?
