An entire SP Site to an XML file

Asked By: Reed    Date: Feb 23    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2016

I was recently tasked with exporting an entire case from the Inspector General's
SP Site to XML. The concept is that they want to be able to print out a case
after it's been completed and file it away in a storage warehouse.

So far I have looked into tapping the Search functionality to grab anything
related to the case file number. I have looked into connecting via an XML web
service. I have even toyed with the idea of just doing the straight
serialization from code.

The layout of the final document should be such that the main info about the
case is at the top and any supporting info (lists) have a list item displayed in
each reporting field layed out underneath them. Nevermind the paging and all I
have to handle.

My question is: Does anyone have a slick, quick [sic] way to export a site in
XML and maybe lay it out in a Word doc?
