Enabling Sharepoint accessable from Internet

Asked By: Courtney    Date: Nov 13    Category: MOSS    Views: 1183

I need your help on making sharepoint accessable from the Internet.
I just installed SharePoint 2007 with SQL 2005 on Windows Server 2008.
Now the sharepoint site is accessble internally.
How do I make the sharepoint page also accessable from Internet?
For example, I would like to make people from anywhere outside type a
url and view our sharepoint site.

Go to site's home page, then Site Actions > Site Settings > Modify All
Site Settings > Advanced Permissions > Settings > Anonymous Access >
select "Entire Web site" > OK

but this is not what I need.
I need to make my sharepoint  site visible from outside like anyother site.
The site is visible internaly, and I need to make this site also visible in
internet like anyother site. I just don't know what I need and how to configure
that.
Could you help  me out with this?

If everything else is configured correctly, you'd still need to disable
Lockmode.

Could you perhaps also tell me how I could allow anonymous users to comment in a
blog?
