Email notification troubles

I've been investigating the known difficulty related to Email
notification (Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - Q296602- How to Specify
the Server Name That Is Used in E-mail Notification Messages) but cannot
find the Web Storage System Software Development Kit (SDK) which
provides the Web Storage System Explorer from which the change in the
URL must be made (it is a oversight in the original microsoft
documentation they admit). If anyone has come across a work-around
solution to this issue or has encountered the problem where email
notifications have failed, any assistance would be appreciated. I'm
stumped.

Try here for the Exchange explorer  (aka WSS explorer)
