Has anyone successfully implemented a custom discussion board template that will
receive mail? I created 2 contenttypes, one that inherited from Message and one
that inherited from Subject, and I changed the views to use the custom content
type. It works great in the UI, all of my fields are there, but...

If I try to add an incoming email address it throws an exception because it
can't find the resource file. If I add a resource file to the feature, it
throws an exception trying to find a child content type.
