"Edit in Datasheet" issue with Sharepoint 2003

Asked By: Reuben Lang         Date: Jul 19, 2008      Category: MOSS      Views: 313

We have two SP environments-- 2003 and MOSS. The 2003 environment (a
combination of Sharepoint Portal Services and WSS) was at SP2 when a
hardware problem caused a major failure. Microsoft support helped us
recover the system, but as part of the recovery, the MS tech upgraded
WSS to SP3 which, in turn, broke the "Edit in Datasheet" feature. He
said a hotfix would be coming, but that never materialized to my
knowledge. Can anyone tell me if a hotfix did emerge or what the
latest Service Pack is available for SP 2003?

There is a WSS 2.0 post-SP3 update, but I'm not sure that it resolves
your issues:

Are you using Office 2003 or Office 2007?
