Easy way to find MySites

  Asked By: Emanuel    Date: Mar 06    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 859

I'm looking for an easy way to explain to users how to find other users
mysites. When you type in someone's name you get tons of results based
on how many docs they've authored ect. Is there some sort of criteria I
can use to single out their MySite?

I placed this webpart on the frontpage of our portal and named it
Employee Directory. You can setup the webpart to only return search
results that contain users.

http://localhost/Search.aspx?w=CONTAINS(*,%20'%22*admin*
*%22')%20AND%20(%22DAV:contentclass%22='urn:content-class:SPSPeople'<http://loca\
lhost/Search.aspx?w=CONTAINS(*,%20'%22admin*%22')%20AND%20(%22DAV:contentclass%2\
2='urn:content-class:SPSPeople'>
)

Instead of *admin* in the above URL, type  other user's name, id. This will
only return link to their MySite.
