DST 2007 patch for SharePoint and Windows O/S

Asked By: Jody    Date: Oct 13    Category: MOSS    Views: 939

Has anyone applied the patch for the day light saving time (kb article
924881) to their SharePoint servers. This patch affects WSS. My question
is: Do you need to apply this patch to the O/S first before applying it
to the SharePoint server? Does it matter?

You need both the OS level patch  and the WSS patch. I'm not sure about the
order, as the OS patch came out in December, I think, and I put it on
immediately. The WSS patch came out later, so I put it on later. The WSS DST
patch is more of a rollup patch, it includes things other than the just the DST
settings. If you've got anything wacky in your environment this may or may not
be a problem.
