Drag & Drop Access To Document Libraries Within Outlook

Asked By: Jessica    Date: Jan 08    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 13187

Does anyone know of any Outlook Addins or other mechanisms of
transfering Outlook messages and attachments quickly and easily (i.e.
drag and drop) in to WSS document libraries?
Ideally some sort of site or document library hierachry would be
directly available in Outlook.
Do you have any hints on how I could code this, if there's nothing
already available?

You can export all the inbox messages  into a excel file. Then i think
you might have identical fields such as subject, body. etc. Go into
your list.Select edit in datasheet. Select task pane. think you will
get another menu which saying export and link to Excel. Your list will
be opened in an excel sheet now. Open the previous excel file where you
exported your inbox. Copy the range and paste it in your new excel
sheet accordingly.
If you have finished everything select Data in the menu, select Lists
and you will get an option saying 'synchronize list'. Select it, now
all will be entered into your sharepoint list.
I didn't try with images and attachments, but think this might help you
and save your time. Please send me a feedback if things went correct.
im new to sharepoint and needing much help from everyone.

You can Save As directly to a document  library form the outlook  message
itself - just use http://<server>/<sitename>/<doclib> as the location to
save in. From there you can navigate the site  as well...
