I don't see the web part called "Content Querey"

Asked By: Thomas Walker         Date: Feb 27, 2007      Category: MOSS      Views: 254

I just set up a Sharepoint Services site V3.0 with Server 2007. I set
up a development site to see what things looked like comared to the
V2.0 Sharepoint Services site.

I looked at the web parts available when you do a edit page. I
expected to see the "Content Querey" web part but it does not show up
among the other web parts.

What am I doing wrong?

It sounds like you're just using the WSSv3 and not MOSS. The Content Query
web part  is only part of MOSS. As I recall, it's part of the Publishing Site
set.

You're right, it only comes with MOSS. Additionally you'll need to have
the Publishing Feature enabled at the Site Collection level for it to
show up.
