Does the new Windows Server 2003 SP1 (available from Windows Update) include WSS SP1?

…or are they completely separate?

Windows Update treated them separately for me.. I had to install both.

I actually still have an issue with this. I installed WSS SP1 when it
first came out so my Windows Update WSS SP1 is stuck and unable to
install. I'm hoping this will go away when Win2K3 SP2 runs thru Windows

I doubt if the order is important.

Win2003 sp1  does not contain any updates for SharePoint and wss  SP1 does not have any updates for Windows.

Only point to note is that Win2003 SP1 has an update for IIS, otherwise it doesn’t affect your sharepoint box much.

I've only tried doing the WSS SP1 update followed by Server 2003 SP1 Update
(order that they came out). Everything seems to be working well.

On a new installation Windows update prompts you to install both, so it doesn't
appear that they are dependant on each other.
