Does SharePoint Support “Hyperion Essbase Database”? Where can I get a list of applications/products that are supported by SPS?

I'm not sure what you mean by support.  sharepoint  requires MS SQL Server 2000 and will only use that database  for storing data and documents. Theoretically, you can access any database from a web part that you can access from from C# or VB .Net. I would refer you to the MS SharePoint web site for a list  of applications that are integrated with SharePoint:

Check out the Solutions Directory and Web Component Directory on the right side of the page.

What I mean by support  is whether can I plug in Hyperion Essbase database  so that being in sps  I want to access and retrieve the information from this database. Is that possible, if yes where can I find the appropriate connectors?
