How does SharePoint recognize who a user is?

Asked By: Nicholas    Date: Apr 01    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1792

I've really done it this time. Somehow I managed to get logged into
SharePoint as the SPS SharePoint DB instead of my user account. That
means that all of the webparts that would otherwise display (my
outlook info, web parts that I have specific access to, etc.) don't
show up.

What I can't figure out is how to log out as the SP DB and get logged
back in as just myself (I'm an adminstrator for the system anyway -
scary as that may sound). This is isolated just to me - no other
users are having any problems. And, no, I don't have any idea how I
got logged in like this in the first place

Tools --> Ineternet Options --> 'whatever zone your portal is in' --> custom level --> user  Authentication --> Prompt for username and password
