Asked By: Mrigendra    Date: Apr 30    Category: MOSS    Views: 1045

I want to know how does MOSS architecture works, when i see the MOSS site response in the browser its plane html, would like to know where is this html output is generated and how is it sent to the browser, is it possible to place a filter just before it is rendered.

Is it possible to get the response content in XML format ??

Essentially you are seeing Asp.net code sending html  to the browser  by the webserver. Sharepoint takes a number of factors into account when displaying a page to you, master pages, layouts, file based content, and database based content  are all pulled together when a page is requested and html is sent seamlessly to the browser. There are many options to change this content before it is rendered, you may even be able to do something at the IIS level. SharePoint also publishes xml  versions of some of its content by default.
