Document Versioning Problem

Asked By: Cleveland Burch         Date: Feb 17, 2009      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 183

I'll run through what I did and we can go from there. I create a new site collection with the Document Center Template. I upload "HelloWorld.doc." It shows Version 0.1 as it should. I then check out the document to edit it and it increments the version to 0.2 on checkout. I check it back in choosing 0.2 Minor version (draft) as the check in type. The version now shows 0.3. When I go to check the version history, only version 0.2 and 0.3 remains. 0.1 does not show up. When I recheck out version 0.2 it has the updated changes in and the original document is lost.

I'm running Sharepoint Server 2007 (Enterprise I believe). I made no other modifications to the site collection. Any thoughts would be well appreciated.

Nevermind...apparently when you click save it functions as a version  overwrite.
