Document Library Issue

I have a small issues, i have many documents in a document library in a sharepoint site, when i take a site backup and restore it on some other site, all the documents in the document library are checked out by default. How can we avoid this?

When you take backup  and restore  the site  in a new location, all the documents  in the sp DL will act as if they are uploaded the first time.i.e., the first version and there is no previous version to theses files in this new site. So, by default  the sp security model puts them as check out files. The owner has to check them in. Or the admin can take ownership of these files and check them in.
