Document Libraries in Version 2.0

I was wondering if anybody can shed some light about the Document
Library in Version 2.0. I know there are multiple document libraries,
one for each category, for each workspace and one for the main portal.
Am I right?

1. Lets say I created a Document Library for the Division category. I
got my web part and I added a document. Why is it that I can only open
or save the file from within this web part. The only way for me to get
to the Check In, Check Out, Version History, etc. is to go to Edit Page,
Manage Content, Document Libraries and then I will see the drop down for
the document. I don't understand this. At least within the individual
workspaces, if I go into the Document Library, the drop down in there
for each document.

2. There is a Document Library for the main portal right? I have this
URL http://servername/C2/documentLibrary, why is this not displayed by
default? I had to create this as a tab in the top menu in order to get
to it. And of course, I run into the same issue as above for checking in
and checking out a document.

3. The Document Library in the My Site. I understand that any documents
under Private Documents is for the owner of the My Site to view only.
But documents under the Shared Documents, how does this work? How do
other users see these documents?

It's nice that MS provided multiple document libraries, but its just
more confusing. Definitely for me.

I would really appreciate any information anybody can provide here to
help me understand this feature.
