Document Count and Search Engines

Asked By: Keaton Boyle         Date: Jan 20, 2006      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 236

Is there a way to easily identify how many documents I have stored
across my main Sharepoint Portal Server and the Sharepoint Services
Sites?

I am in the process of researching sharepoint search engines and need to
know what to base my document counts for pricing. Also, my end users are
highly frustrated with SPS 2003 searching. They feel they can never find
what they are looking for....

If you have any suggestions for search engines that you have used, that
would be great!!

Try Zoom Search and configure for spider mode - it will index all
sites.

If you have a chance have a look at
http://www.coveo.com/en/Products/CESS.aspx

It's a great product
