Doc_usage script

Asked By: Varsha    Date: Dec 31    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1076

When I run the doc_usage script on my sharepoint server I get a runtime error
back on processing:

c:\doc_usage.vbs(103, 2) Microsoft VBScript runtime error: Invalid use of Null:

Does anyone knows what the reason of this could be.

As far as I can see on the internet this tool shows the number of times a
document is accessed.

I there also a tool available that tells:
- who logged in
- what documents did she/he accessed
- how long was she/he on the portal

So more user statistics

There is a utility out there called the usage report It was at one time able
to be found on www.sharepointcode.com, that gives you some of the information
you are looking for.

When I run  the script  usage_report.vbs I also get this message:
Microsoft VBScript runtime  error: Invalid
use of Null: 'Len(...)'

Does any one know the reason???

I also faced the same problem while running that script..so i saved that script
as usage_report.asp, then i opened that saved file and comment that line.

When I had a good look into all the properties, settings of IIS and the script  I
found out that the
logfiles from our workspace are put in another folder than the standard one

After I changed the address in the script it was working fine
