Doc library template - problem with doc type icon in search results

Asked By: Garret Stephenson         Date: Feb 11, 2005      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 338

I've created a document library template on SharePoint Portal Server
2003, using Type="10300" BaseType="1". I can upload doc into the
library and in any of the doc lib views the icon correctly represent
the doc type, so I get the word icon, excel icon, ppt icon, pdf icon,
etc. And everything else works okay.

However when I do a search the doc type icons for document stored in
doc libraries created by this templage, are
_layouts/images/STS_ListItem16.gif. This behaviour is not limited to
search results but also, for example, if you go to My Site, Share View,
Recent Documents - also has the same symptons.

The same documents in the document libraries created using the default
doc lib template work as usual, showing the correct doc type icons in
search results an in the Recent Documents Web Part.
