Displaying links to WSS sub-sites

Asked By: Mario Owens         Date: Jan 07, 2004      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 184

Windows SharePoint Server (WSS) lets you create another WSS site
through one of the options available in the "Create" button on the
top menu bar. However, there does not appear to be a way to have
this new WSS site automatically listed anywhere on the original WSS
site without creating a specific link to the new URL. It seems to me
that this would be the standard default, but I can't seem to find out
how to do it. Without such an automatic link, is there an easy way
to find WSS sites after they are created, especially if you forget
the URL?

To find  all the subsites under a wss  site, you can go to the "Documents
and Lists" page (from top navigation bar) of the parent wss site  and
click on the "Sites" link  under "See Also" heading (Left hand side of
the page).

append this to your site  url and see if this answers your question.

This is a great improvement in seeing all sub-sites  and workspaces.
However, to make it perfect, how can this list be automatically
expanded on the home page without having to click the link?
