Display the first and last name columns together in a list

I am sure the answer is obvious, however, I cannot recall how to have the first
name and last name column appear together in a list rather than separate
columns. Is this done with a view.

Couldn't you create a separate calculated value field that essentially
concats the two fields together.

Couldn't you create a calculated column  that put the two together?
