Display all new data in webpart

Asked By: Aaditya    Date: Jun 09    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1047

I want to display any new calendar entries, blog entries, discussion
entries, tasks or shared documents that are posted within the last week
and any calendar entries that are coming up within the next two weeks
in an announcement type web part.
I don't see a way to do this with Content Query Web Part. Is there
another way?

See msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa981241.aspx - the example
there shows a CAML query  in a Content Query Web Part that will retrieve
items created in the last 7 days - you can change the parameters to do
14 days and/or use the Modified field instead.

I've gotten the query  to show my calendar  events in a list, but how
would I get them to show on a calendar?

A SharePoint calendar  is just a list. Are you saying you want them to show
up in the calendar (Day/Week/Month) views? If so, you may need to tell the
view to display  different fields from what it chooses by default.
