Discussion Board expandCollapse() javascript

  Asked By: Srikant Hebbar         Date: Oct 04, 2006      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 432

We have discussions board lists with many discussions and threads. After responding to a discussion and clicking the back button, all the discussions collapses and makes it hard to follow. How can I make a discussion board always expandable even if the refresh button is clicked.

The JavaScript that is used for this functionality is expandCollapse() called from SCHEMA.XML located for example in 60\TEMPLATE\1033\SPS\LISTS\DISCUSS. The function is defined in ows.js file.

I think it has to do something with cookies but can't figure it out.
