Deployed InfoPath forms and errors

Asked By: Aiesha    Date: Oct 29    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 709

Appreciate this may need an InfoPath audience, but wondered whether I
could try you first. Is there a way to display error message
information for when a form fails when a user is submitting it?

I have set up the form so it displays a text error when it succeeds or
fails, for those who know InfoPath, but it is static text and doesn't
help much. I have a form that works for most users, but one guy the
form is failing when he submits it and as far as checking has gone he
is set up pretty much the same as everyone else.

Are you submitting  it using Form Server or are you submitting it
directly to a Form Library? I don't know the answer but I think that
will drive your answer.

My apologies, I forgot I had submitted this question. Problem solved.

Firstly, his issue was a permission problem on the Document Library.

Secondly, the event viewer for the server running the InfoPath Forms
Service details the events for forms  failing.
